Did you know that the fleur de lis was created after a French legend involving waterlilies? The floral motif came to symbolize life, perfection and light. The style was quite popular in the late 1800s as a brooch which would also be used from which to hang a pendant watch. The catch has been changed to a more secure style, with a pin stem and watch/pendant hook, with a flat faceted pattern that's a bit distinctive for this style!
